New Spotlight on the Collections

This month's Spotlight on the Collections highlights books that were nominated and/or won awards in 2015, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry.  These awards focus on specific genres, authors from various ethnic and racial backgrounds, different countries, and reader popularity.  Books chosen for our display were selected from a number of different awards lists.

You can find the display in the Spotlight on the Collections cabinets and book cases in the Mudd Academic Commons--turn to the left after entering the front doors and you can't miss it!  We hope this collection will give you a good starting point to find a good read or two during winter term.  You're welcome to check out any book you find there.

Remember: we're closed on Monday, January 18

The College observes Martin Luther King Day on January 18 this year, and the libraries will be closed for the day.  Access to our electronic resources are always available; if you are not on the college's network, students and employees can authenticate from off-campus.  Here are some pieces in the Oberlin College Archives documenting Dr. King's commencement address at Oberlin in 1965.
