Philosopher Kwame Anthony Appiah to deliver 2016 Jantz Lecture Thurs 4/14

Internationally renowned philosopher Kwame Anthony Appiah will deliver the 2016 Harold Jantz Memorial Lecture.  His lecture "Of our Spiritual Strivings: W.E.B. DuBois as a German Philosopher" draws from his recent book Lines of Descent:  W.E.B. DuBois and the Emergence of Identity.  See the entry in Oberlin Calendar of Events for more info. 
Library Student Assistant Isabela Espinal OC'16 put together this welcoming book display in Mudd to highlight works by Appiah and scholarship on African-Amercans in Germany, as well as Afro-German experiences.
