New URL for ILL service, ILLiad

If you're a regular user of interlibrary loan, you may have bookmarked the welcome page for ILLiad.  Please note that the URL has changed due to a recent server upgrade.  The correct logon page is http://illiad.oberlin.edu/illiad/logon.html.  We are still finding some places that are referring to the old logon, and apologize if you're misdirected.  Do let us know if you sent on a wild goose chase so we can correct the references.  And watch for a much needed refresh of the ILLiad pages this summer, now that we have a new machine.

Now's the time!  He's the new poet laureate of the United States, appointed by James Billington, Librarian of Congress.  See OBIS for a selection of his work.

Westwood Cemetery exhibit (through Fri. June 27)

The Oberlin College Archives presents an exhibit to commemorate Oberlin’s First Cemetery (established 1836) and the Westwood Cemetery (dedicated in 1864). The exhibit is part of the Juneteenth celebration of the 150th anniversary of Westwood Cemetery.  The exhibit will be on display June 9-27 in the Goodrich Room, located on the 4th floor of Mudd Center.

Milt Hinton festival (Thur. June 12)

The inaugural Milt Hinton Institute for Studio Bass will feature a daylong festival on Thursday, June 12, called "Celebrating Milt Hinton.”  A highlight of the day will be a guided tour of the Oberlin Conservatory Library's special collection of Hinton’s papers and photographs, which document a 70-year career during the golden age of American jazz.  The tour, which begins at 2:30 pm in the Conservatory main lounge, will be led by Conservatory Special Collections Librarian Jeremy Smith.  More details and a full schedule of festival events, which include a film screening, talks, and musical performances, are available online.  The day's events are also covered in an interesting article with interviews and background information at ClevelandClassical.com.
