Now that the weather has (finally) warmed up, soak up some sun and enjoy the newly refurbished sun deck up on the 4th floor of Mudd. We have new tables, chairs, and a reading bench, plus lots of planters with interesting greenery. The entrance is at the deck's southeast corner, just across from the womb chairs. Watch your step as you go in and out.

Libraries now on summer hours
Thursday, May 14, 2015
Today is the due date!
We know that many of you are still using your materials, and you should feel free to keep using your material through reading period and exams. Remember that special due dates still apply to reserve materials, periodicals, recalled items, interlibrary loans, OhioLINK materials, and other short-term loan items, and you will be responsible for fines if the items are returned overdue.
If you are a continuing student remaining in Oberlin for the summer, you may claim summer borrowing privileges, and then renew your books beyond commencement.
Do you want to check on what you currently have checked out and when it's due? Just access your account at http://obis.oberlin.edu/patroninfo/
Do you have other questions about end-of-semester policies and procedures? Check out our FAQ, or contact any circulation supervisor for advice.
Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions about your library account or our policies! Best of luck in the final days of the semester!Allison Gallaher

Wow! Even more Writing Center help--just when you needed it!
The Writing Center is stepping up staffing during the last two nights of reading period. In addition to their regular hours in the Writing Center (Mudd 101A), they're expanding into the Center for Teaching Innovation and Excellence office (CTIE, located on A-Level in Mudd 052) for two evenings: Mon. May 11 and Tue. May 12, from 9 pm to 1 am. There'll be additional Writing Associates on hand to help you work through final drafts of papers, plus free coffee and snacks to keep you going. Rumor has it that some professors will be available, as well. This is a don't-miss opportunity!

The end of semester approaches!
Yes, that's right, the semester is almost over! You may have questions, and we have answers. Many of them are here, or follow the links for more information. If you prefer interfacing with humans, ask a staff member or give us a call!
Library materials that students have been using for the semester are officially due on May 14, 2015. These do not include shorter-term loan materials such as OhioLINK, ILL, reserve, periodicals, and recordings which have their own specific due dates. You can see everything you have checked out to you, and when it is due, by viewing your library record.
We recognize that some of you need to keep using your material through exams -- if this is the case, you may keep your semester-loan materials (books and scores due on May 14) until you have finished with them.
Many materials are renewable starting on May 12; please read our advice about renewing materials.
Do you have other questions about end-of-semester policies and procedures? Check out our FAQ, or contact any circulation supervisor for advice.
