New resource: FBIS Reports - Foreign news in translation 1941-1996
FBIS Reports (1941-1996) opens new possibilities for researchers seeking foreign primary sources in English. The library recently initiated online access to the 1941-1974 segment of the FBIS Reports (Foreign Broadcast Information Service) which complements the 1974-1996 segment that we have had for years. Originally selected by the CIA for monitoring national security, documents in FBIS include transcripts and English translations of foreign news services, radio and television broadcasts, speeches and interviews.
