Parents are invited to a special tour of Mudd today, Tuesday, August 31 from 2-2:30

New students are invited to an orientation to the main library on Friday Sept 3. Drop by anytime between 10am-4pm and get a tour, a free travel mug, other goodies and snacks.

OBIS down for upgrade Tuesday 1/4/11

OBIS will be down most of the day on Tuesday for a computer server upgrade.

In preparation for the upgrade, as of 4pm today, the regular OBIS url (http://obis.oberlin.edu) will be inactive. Alternate access to OBIS will be available at http://132.162.37.16 until 4am Tuesday morning, when the system will be taken down for the day.

On Tuesday, you can get some information about our holdings by searching the OhioLINK Library Catalog.

Accessing Journals and Databases from off campus while OBIS is down
Your OBIS record is used to authenticate for access to some journals and databases if you're not on campus. You can work around this when OBIS is down on Tuesday by connecting to the campus network via the VPN client. Here's the VPN info from the CIT: http://citwiki.oberlin.edu/index.php/VPN
