NYT online free once again

The New York Times has announced that it will stop charging for access to parts of its web site. Previously, the Times charged a subscription fee for online access to the work of its columnists and to the newspaper’s archives. The company posted a letter about its decision to discontinue the TimesSelect subscription product.

There are still large portions of the archives that are not available for free, however. The library's online subscriptions provide online access to the complete backfile. See our NYT Finding Guide for details on how to access all the news that's fit to print, including years that are still under copyright and not available at the NYT web site (1923 to 1986).

One-stop shopping at the Main Library Circulation Desk

Need a video? Come to the Circulation Desk.
Need a reserve reading? Come to the Circulation Desk.
Need to pick up your OhioLINK book? Come to the Circulation Desk.

That's right....many of your library needs can now be met in one stop on the main level of Mudd. No more tedious stair-climbing. No more waiting for the elevator. Just a few steps from the entrance of Mudd, and only a slight deviation from your trip to Azariah's Cafe, is the new Circulation Desk. In addition to your old favorites of OhioLINK books and laptop computers, we now circulate all of the Main Library print reserve collection and the DVD and VHS video collection previously shelved in A-V Services. To speed the process of our finding the materials, please arrive at the desk with the call numbers of the books, photocopies, or videos you need. If you don't know how to track down that information, the friendly folks at either the circulation desk or the information desk will be happy to demonstrate.
