What's with all the boxes in the Mudd stacks?

This summer the library is undertaking projects to clear space on the main level to make room for work that will start on the Academic Commons in 2007. We're also clearing stack space for collection growth in the upper levels of Mudd.

Right now there are hundreds of boxes of print journal volumes stacked around the 2nd and 3rd levels. They are awaiting transport to our Five Colleges of Ohio shared remote storage facility. These journals are all fully digitized in the JSTOR electronic journal collection.

Peace and Quiet

We've settled into a post-commencement lull ... the tents are gone from Wilder Bowl, but you can see where they were because the grass is discolored.

If you're working on an incomplete and still need access to our databases and electronic journals, apply for an extension of your privileges, which expire over the summer.
