Banned Books Week 2015

Defending the freedom to read is EVERYONE'S job!

The American Library Association promotes the freedom to choose or the freedom to express one's opinions even if that opinion might be considered unorthodox or unpopular, and stresses the importance of ensuring the availability of those viewpoints to all who wish to read them. Check out the Banned Books Week display in Mudd Library, where you can get "caught" reading banned or challenged books!

Feel free to take a selfie in front of our display (or ask a friend to take a photo of you).  Share it on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, etc). Be sure to include #‎ocbannedbooks2015‬ in your post!
