Tips for staying well

As we head into the last weeks of classes, reading period, and finals, staying healthy is more important than ever.  Follow these wellness tips to help keep yourself and others healthy:
  • Practice good health habits: get plenty of sleep and exercise, stay hydrated, eat a balanced diet, and manage stress levels
  • Wash  hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand gel
  • Avoid touching  eyes, nose, or mouth
  • Avoid close contact with sick people
  • Cover nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze; throw tissue in trash after using
  • Don’t share food, utensils, or beverage containers with others
  • If you're sick with flu-like illness, stay home for at least 24 hours after  fever is gone without the use of fever-reducing medicines
