OBIS is back!

Update Tue. 1/14:  the server was replaced and OBIS is now back up and working.

OBIS is experiencing technical problems (a failed server… not good).  We don’t expect it to be available again until Tuesday afternoon January 14.  There are several workarounds until OBIS is back up:

Library holdings
Search the OhioLINK CentralCatalog for information about our holdings.  After doing a search, select the “Limit & Sort” button, then choose Oberlin College for “WHERE the item is located.”  You can also pre-limit a search by Location = Oberlin College with the Advanced Keyword Search option.  Statuses listed there may not be accurate, and OhioLINK borrowing will not be possible until OBIS access has been restored.

Accessing Journals, Databases, and other electronic resources from off campus

For off campus access to the library's electronic resources, use the VPN. Here's more info about the VPN (virtual private network) from the CIT if you’re not familiar with it.
