Synagogue Exhibition

Wooden Synagogues: Recovering History Through Art and Architecture, and exhibition coordinated by Rick and Laura Brown of Handshouse Studio in Norwell, Massachusetts, will be displayed on the main level of the main library from Wednesday, September 2nd through Friday November 20th.

The exhibition, which features artwork by Oberlin students, illustrates an exceptional flowering of synagogue architecture in the Jewish market towns of Zabludow and Gwozdziec, Poland from the 16th century until the Holocaust.
