Bibliorarities from the Conservatory Library: Miniature Books

Have you ever wished you could leave the house with nothing but a book in your pocket? Check out the mini books you have been missing in the Con Library! The Miniature Books exhibit is part of the Bibliorarities series and can be viewed through the end of December in the Conservatory Library's Circulation Area during all opening hours. The Bibliorarities exhibits feature items drawn from the Conservatory Library's Special Collections.

Then you should know that the wonder that is OhioLINK rests on a somewhat shaky foundation when it comes to state funding. The library has a new subscription to the Factiva database, which includes more than 10,000 sources from 152 countries in 22 languages, including more than 370 continuously updated newswires. Newspapers offered include The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, and the Financial Times.

Magazine coverage includes The Economist, Forbes, Fortune, Time, Newsweek, BusinessWeek, L'Express, and Far Eastern Economic Review.

Adam Moss to Speak to Friends of the Library


Adam Moss, OC '79, editor-in-chief of New York magazine will be the featured speaker at the Friends of the Library Annual Dinner on Saturday, November 4th. Before joining New York he was the assistant managing editor for features at the New York Times. In 2001 Moss was named editor of the year by Advertising Age.
