Celebrate Mozart's 250th!

Check out the exhibit, take a pencil, and catch up on your Mozartean trivia in the Conservatory Library! Join us in celebrating Wolfgang's 250th birthday!

Did you know:

Legend has it that a grave digger who knew which body was Mozart's sneaked the skull from the grave in 1801. Since 1902, the skull, missing its lower jaw, has been in the possession of the International Mozarteum Foundation of Salzburg, Austria, where Mozart was born. -NYTimes

Q: Why don't they know where Mozart is buried?
A: Because he's Haydn!

When Mozart was a boy and traveling, he invented an imaginary land and named it "The Kingdom of Back." His sister wrote, "This kingdom and its inhabitants were endowed with everything that could make good and happy children out of them." Little Wolferl himself was the king of Back. -The Mozart Project

Lost it in Mudd?

Have you checked everywhere, including eBay, for "it"? It MIGHT be in the Main Library lost-and-found. Unclaimed notebooks, CDs, water bottles, mugs, scarves, books, photographs, even a pair of crutches are among the many items languishing in the front of the administrative office reception area just past the photocopiers on main level. Before you completely give up hope of finding "it", check out Mudd's amazing lost world.
